    What our Guest says

    • We went to Nepal on the summer of 2010 and we decided to do a trekking with Responsible Treking because we know a catalan friend of us who is working there, Daniel. The manager of the travel agency (who's like our grandfather) is called Chhewang and he recommend us to go to the Mustang part because in august it rains…

    • There are good agencies and then there are the few that do what they do with a passion. Responsible Treks is one of them. Chhewang and Daniel are not just highly professional facilitators of just about any trek in the Himalayas, they do so with much mindfulness and a profound knowledge of language, culture, and environment. Be it your journey…

    • We have travelled with Responsible Treks for four consecutive years now and each trip has been a fantastic experience. Chhewang and his team take the utmost care in tailoring each one to our specific requirements. They are quick to respond and take the time to make sure we have the best possible experience. We wouldn't use any else and certainly…

    • Dear Chhewang N. Lama, I have long returned home from the September travels I enjoyed with your staff and arrangements. I want to thank you specifically for how you handled a very challenging medical situation with my family. You never hesitated, and rather insisted on taking us to a clinic to receive the best medical attention in Katmandu, before our…

    • Chhewang and Daniel at Responsible Treks made such great arrangements for my stay in Boudhanath, Pokhara and Chitwan, that all I had to do was show up and enjoy. They were also excellent guides to many sites and events, showing me a side of Nepal that I might not have discovered on my own. A genuinely perfect blend of spiritual…

Responsible Treks in Kathmandu, Nepal prepared a 30 day adventure that included cultural awareness and trekking across the Himalayas for me in December 2011. • Responsible Treks looked after us way beyond what one would expect from a travel company, we were presently surprised continuously by the services we received. Responsible Treks made our lives so easy, they picked up quickly on what type of travel we wanted and made up a beautiful itinerary which we could never have put together ourselves, our trip was…

    Responsible Tourism

Since the peace agreement in 2006, tourism has made a strong come-back in Nepal. Through responsible practices, tourism businesses can minimize the impact of tourism on the environment and maximize employment and income-generating opportunities for local communities.
