At 6,714 meters, Mount Kailash holds deep spiritual significance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers.

Hindus regard it as the abode of Lord Shiva and the cosmic axis from which the Indus, Brahmaputra, Sutlej, and Karnali Rivers originate, flowing in the four cardinal directions.
