Meet Our Team
I am from the remote Nyinba Valley, located in Simikot-Humla, West Nepal where the people are of Tibetan origin. I believe the rich cultural heritage of where I am from is what connects me to my passion for the mountains. I have worked in the tourism industry for over 17 years
It is my close relationship and commitment to the many indigenous communities that gives Responsible Treks our unique signature.
To this day I remain inspired by the magic of the mountains and our people. I am passionate about both my work & sharing the amazing experiences of Nepal, Tibet, Sikkim & Bhutan with others.
Post Covid 19- I have been involved with social enterprises. I am the founder of Boudha Residency. Advisor at Karnali Direct and Women Light the World.

I am from Montreal and am currently doing my bachelor’s degree at McGill University in International Management, with a minor in International Development. I am currently working as a research assistant for a university professor, where I am exploring the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Canada and how the government dealt with it. I also love to get involved in extracurriculars and, amongst other things, I was the Media Coordinator for the McGill Model United Nations last year and am participating in Jeux du Commerce, a nation-wide case competition, this year as part of the operations management team. I first went to Nepal in 2018 as part of a religion class with Professor Sasson and fell in love with the country. I had the chance to do an eight-day trek with Responsible Treks during my trip, where we climbed through the Annapurna region accompanied by four guides (Sonam, Chhiring, Nurbu and Konjok). Through this experience, I not only bonded with our four trekking guides, but I also got the chance to discuss with Buddhist monks, attend temple ceremonies, experience Nepal’s amazing landscapes and also learn about myself in the process. To this day, I still speak about my trip to my friends and family because of the lasting impact it has had on me. I could not be prouder to spread such a positive image of Nepal and Responsible Treks.
