We just had an amazing trekking experience with Responsible Treks, completing the Khopra Danda Trek with Sonam, the best guide you could ever wish for!
During the planning of our trek, the owner Chhewang was excellent at listening to our wishes and creating the perfect itinerary for us, which even included a safari trip to Chitwan. Everything was meticulously planned and professionally managed, and we felt well taken care of throughout our entire holiday. Sonam and the porter formed a fantastic team and were the most pleasant company along the way, making our small group experience truly enjoyable.
We also spent a couple of days sightseeing in and around Kathmandu, which was fascinating and well organized with their city guide and driver.
Overall, we cannot recommend Responsible Treks enough. They are your guarantee for a 5-star adventure in Nepal!
So, thank you, Chhewang and Sonam, for making this trip to Nepal absolutely unforgettable and better than we could have ever dreamed of.

Amazing Trek in Langtang Valley
The mountain views were absolutely stunning — especially the walks up to Tserko Ri (4,985m) and Kyangjin Ri 4400. Honestly, those views still blow our minds!
What we really appreciated was how smoothly everything went. The days were well-paced, with no stress at all, and the places we stayed were super comfy. Pema, our guide, kept everything perfectly organized and handled any little surprises like a pro, which made us feel safe and relaxed the whole time.
You’ll get to enjoy all the beauty without worrying about a thing! We just want to say a big thank you to Pema for making our 7-day trek in Langtang Valley so amazing.

Responsible Treks is one of the best travel companies of Nepal. I embarked upon a very unique wildlife photography expedition along with them and they have not only met my requirements to the best of my satisfaction but also took all necessary and added measures to meet unforeseen situations. They helped me in finding and photographing Wild Yak which is considered to be one of the rarest mammals of the region. The expedition took us to the remotest corner of Nepal at Limi Valley in Humla district. Mr Chhewang Lama left no stones unturned in making life comfortable from receiving me at Kathmandu airport till the time I reached Simikot and provided me with all possible assistances at every point which included my stay and excursions at Kathmandu, boarding various flights as well as deplaning.
Finally, at Simikot I met Rinzin Phunjok Lama who is a Wildlife Biologist and is a Rolex awardee. An extremely talented and dedicated conservationist who runs Project Ukali to save the unique biodiversity of the region. He and his team conducted the expedition which included tracking Wild Yaks through extreme terrain and all logistics associated with it. I must make special mention of Phurbu who walked and scanned tirelessly to materialize my dream. Chhang Lama also deserves special mention as he and his ponies kept us alive through those arduous days by preparing the best of the foods and carrying all necessary stuff. Abinash Lama and Kamal Sahi were great assets with their scanning and photography skills. Even at the end of the expedition, when the weather turned bad, the team went out of their way to evacuate from Limi Valley and finally helped me board the first flight which touched Simikot.
I am simply overwhelmed with the professionalism, human touch and added efforts of Responsible Treks without which this expedition could never had been successful. I bet that I will home on to them whenever I visit Nepal for my future expeditions.

Responsible Treks put together a full on Nepal experience trip. We asked for Red Pandas, some hiking in the mountains and Nature exploring.
What we got was so much more:
Non-Hectic Kathmandu City in the Little Tibet district, Tea Gardens and Jungle Trekking for the Red Panda in Ilam (and yes we were lucky for two days) and last but not least Safari and Tigers, elephants and Rinos in Bardia National Park.
Our guide Chirring took excellent care of us and shared his experiences and culture. As a true Mountaineer there was so much knowledge to share which really makes us to come back.
Next up: Trekking in Annapurna Region.
All chosen accommodations suited our needs, provided great food and hospitality. Nepali people are kind and welcoming.
We highly recommend choosing Responsible Treks due to their experiences, hospitality, care taking skills and competences and guides.

This is the trekking agency you need!
Excellent agency to organize your trek in Nepal. We have just returned from a second trip to this country (EBC trek), second experience with Responsible treks. We feel confident with them. They are sensitive to the needs of their customers, very professional and always available. Chhewang the founders owner has at heart the satisfaction of his customers which is a big plus.

We did a semi custom trip (11 day) for three with some moderate trekking in Annapurna region, tiger safari in Bardia NP, with some cultural activities in Kathmandu. The trip was well organized and flexible. I only provided some general guidance on my desires and Chhewang made suggestions and tied it all together after some feedback from me. We all enjoyed the trekking and the tiger safari, where we we able to see 4 tigers in the wild over 2 days.
Our trip was interrupted by the covid-19 virus with us being one of the last tour groups. Luckily it was near the end of trip, but there were several scares that the airport would be shutdown to international flights. Chhewang and others were very supportive and helpful in altering the last few days of our trip to try to leave early. We ended up making it out about 36 hrs before the airport closed.
We will consider using the company again for a future trip to Bhutan.

Best experience ever! I felt myself in Nepal like in my hometown. I decided to travel there the previous week (noplanning). Keshab was an amazing guide/friend!!
Why did I decide to choose this company?
I don’t know if they pay much money in SEO to appear in the first lines in Google search. But they are amazing, kind, careful… I could spend hours!! I got in contact with a Catalan guy who organizes Nepal trips, he recommended them, specially Nima as a main contact. Amazing itinerary called “Pikey Pick Trek”.
Why did I choose Pikey Pick Trek?
Because it has been a 10 days itinerary and max. altitude point around 4.100 meters high. And because it is not a super touristic route. First and last day in Kathmandu. Perfect lodge: Rogkpa Hotel. A peaceful hotel in the middle of dust and noise.
After that, I spent 1-2 days to arrive to the start point. Then we started to walk. Some days going up until Peaky Pick Base Camp. I woke up at 5am (sky: full of stars) to see an spectacular sunrise and landscape: Logdese, Everest, Numbur, Anapurnas….To sum up, Himalayas.
And then, going down some days more. I trekked over the forest. I saw wild animals and a herd of Yaks. Even I enjoyed a morning in a Monastery. Monks were originally from Tibet.
About my mountain guide?
He was Keshab. Since the first time we met in the airport, he was very kind. He checked all mu gear before the trek.
He teached me some nepali words, names of mountains and how to play Carambole. Also, eating habits like Dal bhat “power” and other general social and cultural nepali highlights.

From the initial briefing to our return, Responsible listened and ensured our trek was enjoyable and fun. We wanted quiet, unspoilt countryside with great hikes and views. We had all this and more. Sonam made sure that we were happy with plans and was very entertaining! He tweaked treks and made sure we were well fed and watered.
He even managed to arrange an amazing birthday cake high up!

Narphu and Annapurna Circuit , a positive Experience
My girlfriend and I combined the Nar and Phu valleys with the classic Annapurna Circuit (including Tilicho Lake) via a custom 17-day itinerary with Responsible Treks.
Basically, we had an enjoyable and successful trip, and we recommend this company. They delivered on their promises, offered a reasonable price, and even sent our extra luggage from Kathmandu to our lodging in Pokhara free of charge.

Many thanks for an adventure of a lifetime with my father. From the wonderful garden of Rokpa Guest House with the loveliest young people doing their utmost to keep all guests happy to an out of this world 6-day trek up to 3900m. Led by two young gentlemen who made this person with a fear of heights often forget her fear and concentrate on the beautiful mountains. I will be back one day with my husband and will let Responsible Treks handle lodging, treks and all other issues related to this trip. Thank you and namaste🙏

Pokhara Community Trek
Amazing. The best trek I have ever been on (Compared to other treks I have done in Nepal already, Bolivia, and Europe).
Our guide was Sonam. He was amazing and planned a perfect trek for myself and my parents who came to see me in Nepal. We had two porters, one was local and the other was doing his degree in tourism. This was great as it meant we were supporting the local community and rising enthusiasts in the Nepal tourism world. They were so friendly and a great asset to our small team.
The trekking was beautiful – we weaved in and out of different villages. Danced and celebrated Tihar. Played cards and drank local raaski (optional). Saw the Himalayas and took lots of wonderful photos. Ate amazing food and played basketball in the evenings.
Sonam, the best guide in the mountains, adapted our trek so that it suited us perfectly. Overall amazing experience!

I cannot say enough about how professional, efficient, personable, and thorough the team at Responsible Treks was.
I consider myself a low-maintenance traveler, so I was not used to having such a highly attentive team. But I’m grateful for it. They took care of every detail, leaving my focus only on soaking in the scenery, history, culture, and terrain of one of the most beautiful countries on earth.
Kunchok guided me through selecting a trek and preparing for it. He was responsive to every question and upfront with all the details we would need to know. He met us as we arrived at our hotel and ensured that we were briefed in person on the timeline and the details of the trek.
I had selected the short Dhampus Trek with my brother. Our guide in the mountains was Dawa. He was phenomenal—entirely professional and highly knowledgeable. And we felt as though he were a close friend by the end of the trek. He helped us navigate cultural nuances as well as fully explained all stretches of the trek to us. He left both of us wanting to return and trek again with him one day.
Rajive was our guide for a day in Kathmandu, and we were left feeling like we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He asked us about our timeline and our interests, and then he made tailored suggestions to us that allowed us to see both the major Kathmandu sites as well as some off-the-beaten-path sites that allowed us to feel as though we’d been given a private view into the true vibe of that culturally rich city.
At an incredibly reasonable price, Responsible Treks seamlessly took us from A to Z along our trip, and left us feeling beyond satisfied. I highly recommend this team.

I cannot say enough about the awesome Nepal trek we recently competed that was booked through KimKim with Responsible Treks. From our first interactions, KimKim identified the type of trip we were interested in, the specific dates we were available and matched us with a trekking company and a trek that fit our skill level and expectations.
The trip itself exceeded our expectations on all fronts. The communications we received via KimKim’s platform helped us plan our trip, get a great sense of what to expect each day, and to pack accordingly. The information and communications we received on the front end alleviated any trip anxiety we may have had. Chhewang, our trip organizer with Responsible Treks, met us at the airport in Kathmandu and rode with us to our hotel where we met with our trek guide, Sonam. We discussed the trek and generally what to expect. Our trek started the next morning where we met our porter, Chhiring T. Over the course of our trek, whether in airports, check points, tea houses or lodges Sonam and Chhiring T took care of us and ensured we had the best trek possible. Upon our return to Kathmandu we met for dinner with our trip organizer Chhewang from Responsible Treks and our trekking crew for a traditional Nepalese dinner – an awesome ending to our trip. We were picked up the next day and escorted to the airport for our flights home.
Again, we had a great trip and trek and no detail was left to chance – the KimKim platform and team matched us up with exactly what we were looking for in a trip and Responsible Treks and their team took care of us and ensured our trip was a success.
We give KimKim and Responsible Treks 5 stars – and two thumbs up!!

We contacted responsible treks from a previous customer who was living in Kathmandu and had a great experience with this agency,
4 friends and myself, from the Bask Country in Spain agreed with them to go for the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek, a journey that would last 11 days. The price was quite reasonable -even with 3 porters- but it was specially remarkable the professional and friendly approach of Sonam, from the agency who took care of us during the complete period, from our arrival to Kathmandu until we left the country. He really did a great job hosting us with the closeness that you can hardly find in other cultures.
All of it, unbeatable experience with him and his team: Great country, excellent people and highly recommendable agency.
You might find something similar, but I would be surprised if it is better!

From start to finish my tour organised by Chhewang was seamless and for me effortless. I was very well looked after by my guide Keshab and can’t thank him enough. The responsible trek team communicated everything clearly and consistently where I never felt a worry or not looked after. The trek itself was created and catered specifically to my wishes and the time I had available. I loved every experience, and was lucky to observe many cultural customs as it was the time of the festival.
