Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01 Drive to Syabrubeshi / Timure (2010m./145km.) 8 hours Guesthouse in Timure

    Your tour begins after a heavy and testy breakfast and then head towards Shyabrubeshi or Timure by private Jeep/mini Bus ride. Despite of it not being a very long distant drive, it will be taking much time for you to reach Dhunche since the road and traffic conditions are unfavorable at many spots. On your arrival at ShyabruBeshi/Timurecheck-in at your pre-booked Guesthouse and stay overnight there.

     

  • Day 02 Drive Rasuwagadhi to Kyirong/Gyirong ( 2850m./26km.) 0:45 hours Guesthouse in Kyirong

    After breakfast we have short drive/walk to Rasuwagadhi that is a Nepalese border and is located 15 km away from Shyabru Besi, and 3/4 km. from Timure. Complete the immigration formalities there and then cross the border for reaching China’s side from where you will be driven towards Kyirong in a highly comfortable Chinese bus guided by the Tibetans. You will be accompanied by the Nepalese Sherpas loaded with the food and water all through the way. Afterwards, arrive at Kyirong, check- in at your pre-booked dormitory styled accommodation and relax for the day. You will be served with hot tea/coffee by our kitchen crew once they are done with the setup of their kitchen. Meanwhile, you can either take some rest, walk around the hotel vicinity or do some shopping in the nearby market. Dinner will be served by our crew at around 7-8 pm and afterwards, you can go to bed.

     

  • Day 03 Free day at Kyirong (Gyirong) for acclimatization Guesthouse in Kyirong

    Today we have an excursion around Kyirong to acclimatize for the whole day in order to adapt the environment as well as the weather conditions in Tibet. Also, in order to warm up your body, out tour manager will be organizing a short hike for you in and around Kyirong. Apart from this, you can also opt for spending your day in your accommodation while chanting Bhajan or Katha all day long.

  • Day 04 Drive Kyirong to NewDongba via Saga (4475m.)/360km.) 5-6 hours Guesthouse in New Dongba

    After your breakfast at your stay and then drive towards New Dongba. But firstly, you will be reaching the huge and bluish lake Paiku–Tso spotted on the way and spend some serene time there. Once done, continue your drive and pass amidst the beautiful settlement Saga. By that time, you will witness a gradual change in the surrounding views leading to the visibility of beautiful Tibetan high plains. Further, stay intrigued in your drive and ultimately reach New Dongba. Stay overnight at guesthouse/lodge.

     

  • Day 05 Drive New Dongba to Lake Manasarovar (45330m./330km.) 5-6 hours Guesthouse in Manasarovar

    Today, we will be heading towards the pristine Lake Manasarovar and thus, this day holds much importance. Commence your day at around 7:30 am with some light breakfast and then you will be starting your drive to reach Lake Manasarovar. Give a midway halt before Mayumla Pass (4900 m) in order to complete some permit formalities and have lunch. On its completion, continue with your drive and cross the Mayumla Pass as well as the Paryang County. From the shore of Lake Manasarovar, you shall have the first view of the spiritual Mount Kailash. But before moving on towards your guesthouse/camp at Lake Manasarovar you will have to stop for some minutes and spend some time while praying and chanting Bhajan until we complete some permit formalities there. On the completion of this process, you will be driven towards your accommodation at Chiu Gompa (the decision of whether you will be travelling in our vehicles or in the local buses shall completely depend upon the permission of the local authorities). Majority of Lake Manasarovar’s Parikrama (70%) will be completed today and the remaining part shall be done by you when you will be returning from the Kailash Trek. Have some mesmerizing views of Lake Manasarovar and engross in its divinity while having the glimpses of Mount Kailash from there. Apart from this, you can also opt to explore the Chiu Gompa Monastery that would be situated nearby your dormitory styled guesthouse.

  • Day 06 After Lunch Drive Lake Manasarovar to Darchen (4560m./34km) 0:30 hours Guesthouse in Darchen

    Wake up as per your comfort today and then we will be searching for a perfect place to take a holy dip in Lake Manasarovar. A shower tent meant for the ladies to change their clothes will be facilitated by us nearby Lake’s bank and apart from this, we can also arrange a puja if you are interested in a satisfactory price. Once done with the holy dip, puja and lunch you shall then indulge in a drive to reach Darchen. While being on your way, you are surely going to witness a panoramic view of the Lake of Devil Rakshas Tal that is located at Lake Manasarovar’s other side. Darchen is the base camp from where you will be flagging off Mount Kailash’s circumambulation (Parikrama) and on reaching this place, you have to check-in at a dormitory styled guesthouse for an overnight stay. After that you are free to spend some luxurious time, either you can do some shopping in Darchen’s markets or just take some rest in your room.

  • Day 07 Drive to Yam Dwar (10km.) then trek to Dirapuk 3790m./12km.) 4-5 hours Guesthouse in Deraphuk

    Have some delicious breakfast and then head towards Yam Dwar/Tarboche / Sersong through a scenic drive. Before the starting of your trek, you shall have an opportunity to pass through Yama Dwar and those pilgrims who do not want to participate in this trek are going to return back to their guesthouse/lodge at Darchen and wait for other team members (who are participating in the trek) to return from the trek. Those who are interested in hiring a Yak/horse for the trek can do that on direct payment basis and it will be accompanying you throughout the tour. We would recommend our travellers to mandatorily carry packed lunch as well as hot drinkable water to be consumed during the trek. Today’s trek is flat and gradual ascend along through the bank of Glacier River so it will be easy and reach Dirapuk camp comfortably within 5-6 hours. Give a midway halt to eat your packed lunch (Fruits, Frooty, and Chocolates etc). Since, the weather would be very chilly there, we will be quickly checking into our rooms which would be booked in advance by our Tibetan guides. Have some quick tasty dinner and then get into your bed for a comfortable sleep.

  • Day 08 Trek over Dolma pass (5630m.) to Zuthulphuk (4770m./22km.) 9-10 hours Guesthouse in Zutrulphuk

    Mount Kailash looks its vibrant best when the first sunlight falls on its surface and to see the same, you will have to wake up early morning. Have some breakfast and then start your trek in order to reach the Zuthulphuk camp. This is the toughest trek since it is steep in the starting and thus, you will have to climb up continuously till you arrive at Dolma-La high pass (5630 m) for about 3-4 hours and then till Gauri Kund, it would be steep for another 2.5 hours. After that, continue your walk on a flat base for 2-3 hours making this trek a total of 9-10 hours. During the trek, at Dolma La, you will be visiting Shivasthal comprising of a good number of personal belongings of the people who have visited this place before. Apart from this, there is also the presence of many holy flags in this site. The personal objects have been left by the people because it is assumed that whatever you leave at this place shall be attained by you after your death in heaven.

    The pilgrims should mandatorily carry packed lunch as well as hot water along with them during the trek. Give a halt for some lunch after crossing Gauri Kund. You might come across many loose stones as well as bumpy roads, thus there is a need for the pilgrims to walk carefully. For those travellers who are making use of Yak/horse rides shall have to walk for 2-3 hours while coming steep down from Dolma La Pass. introduced to all your group members. Stay overnight at your hotel.
    On reaching Zuthulphuk, stay in govt. guesthouse or in fixed tent having fine facilities of bed, bed sheet & warm blanket. The pilgrims shall be staying in a dormitory style there. Have some dinner and go to bed.

  • Day 09 Trek to Zongdui/Darchen (2-3 hrs) and drive to NewDongba (4530m./334km.) 5-6 hours Guesthouse in New Dongba

    Today, wake up as per your comfort since today is the last day of the trek. Indulge in a short trek of 2-3 hours and start the same by descending down to Darchen. You will be boarding our vehicles from the midway and then our vehicles shall drive you to Darchen’s guesthouse where your other group mates (non-participants of the trek) will be waiting for you for lunch. Once done, drive towards New Dongba with an intention of completing the remaining 30% of Lake Manasarovar’s Parikrama. Then, stay in aguesthouse.

  • Day 10 Drive Dongba to Kyirong (2850m./360km.) 5-6 hours

    Have some breakfast and then drive to reach Kerung. During the journey, you will be passing through the splendid Saga while driving amidst the bridge lying on the Brahmaputra River. Apart from this, enjoy the mesmerizing views from Shishapangma as well as the Pieko-Tso Lake. Afterwards, you will ultimately arrive at Kerung. Check in at your pre-booked dormitory styled guesthouse/lodge and stay overnight there.

  • Day 11 Drive Kyirong to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi Border (173km.) 9-10 hours

    Once done with your breakfast, be a part of the drive from Kerung towards Rasuwagadhi (China-Nepal Border). Complete all the re-entry formalities there and then walk towards Nepal form where you will be escorted to your pre-booked guest house at Kathmandu through an 8-9 hours’ bus ride. Stay overnight at your guesthouse and have dinner there.
